This is hands down one of my favorite shoots. When we pulled up to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, I could barely believe my eyes – and the wonder didn’t stop there! As you walk the half mile from the parking lot to the start of the dunes, you start to notice little ant-like figures speckled amongst the rising and falling sands…. just people walking around… no big deal ????
This session was split up between sunset and the next day’s sunrise. The hike to the top of the dunes (which we realized definitely wasn’t the top once we got there) was chilly and pretty grueling for this girl’s Florida lungs at the time, but we got to the top and had an incredible time in the sand!
Enjoy these absolute babes, and don’t miss another part of their engagement session at Cheesman Park.
This stunning ring has a sweet history. It’s over 100 years old and was Colin’s great-grandmother’s ring. It was given to his grandfather to propose to his grandmother – then to Colin to propose to Sarah. When he took it to a jeweler to have it cleaned and resized based on some of Sarah’s other rings (so sneaky), they didn’t need to change a thing! It was a perfect fit ✨
